Siemens Industry Software India and Polaris Softech have entered into a collaboration with the Rayat-Bahra Group, Punjab. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed to set up a Siemens Certified Professional Learning Center at the Rayat-Bahra Ropar campus. This tie-up marks the beginning of a new era of industry-academia participation. Rayat-Bahra Group and Siemens will work to build a world-class integrated skill development infrastructure and update the technical education curriculum to be more aligned with industry needs. The center is also designed to improve faculty competency, develop an industry-academia partnership, and help students compete in the world market for better remuneration and growth.
Many industries today face an acute skill shortage problem; consequently, most companies have to train their new recruits for almost 24 months before they become productive. This collaboration will nurture excellence in the field of technical education and help make students industry ready for diverse consumer needs in individual markets.
