Client Profile and Requirement: A chemical major in India required engineering and on-site 
construction support to set up a greenfield manufacturing facility with a capacity of 50 tons per day, with an investment of $40 million (Rs. 300 + crore). After evaluating the available options, LTTS (L&T Technology Services) was selected for its end-to-end engineering services, domain knowledge, and expertise in 3D design and modelling.
LTTS’ Approach: LTTS provided a master plan that included the design basis for mechanical and piping, electrical, instrumentation and control, firefighting, equipment layout, etc. LTTS also provided:
- Piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
- Data sheets for process, utility, mechanical and instrumentation equipment
- 3D model for process plant and tank farm
- Civil, structural and architectural (CSA) design, detail engineering, and technical specification
- Total project management
Value Addition: LTTS provided engineering services as per customer’s specifications for a fully functional plant, meeting rigid timelines and staying within the budget. Highlighting a few statistics:
- Project comprised of 1,900 lines and 550 pieces of equipment
