Red Lion Controls announced the release of an additional model to its Graphite series of Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), a new 12.1” Outdoor Graphite HMI, designed to address sunlight readable applications.  With all cast-aluminum construction, the Graphite series provides a more rugged HMI solution to combine a wider range of more versatile plug-in modules with protocol conversion, data logging, and web-based monitoring and control.

Red Lion’s Graphite series allows customers to connect, monitor and control processes in industries, such as manufacturing, oil and gas and water/wastewater.  The Graphite series offers a range of plug-in modules that enable its users to integrate digital and analog I/O, as well as more advanced communications modules to create HMI solutions, with an option to expand to meet more changing business requirements.

Red Lion Graphite 12.1” HMI offers a UV-protected brighter display with widescreen format 1280 x 800 resolution, making it viewable in direct sunlight.  The 12.1” outdoor Graphite model features a brighter 1600 nits display, enabling its users to more easily monitor and control production equipment in various lighting conditions.

Graphite HMIs are available in eight different models, in sizes ranging from 7” to 15”, with bezels that provide a relatively large display given their overall dimensions.  The 12.1” joins the 7” and 10.4” HMIs as sunlight readable models.  Combined with Graphite’s more rugged packaging, these models are suited for harsh outdoor environments.
