Cisco to Acquire Splunk to Help Move Organizations to Threat Detection and Prevention

Cisco and Splunk, the cybersecurity and observability provider, announced a definitive agreement under which Cisco intends to acquire Splunk for approximately $28 billion in equity value. The acquisition is designed to accelerate Cisco’s strategy to securely Threat Detection and Preventionconnect everything to make anything possible. The combination of the two companies’ positions in AI, security, and observability is intended to help make organizations more secure and resilient.
