Greg is responsible for developing, productizing, selling, and deploying IoT solutions that leverage Acuity’s IoT platform and IoT-enabled lighting and building systems infrastructure. These solutions harness operational and consumer data and transform them into business insights that fuel improvements in worker efficiency, business processes, customer experience, and market penetration for Acuity Brands customers. Prior to his tenure at Acuity Brands, Greg, a 20-year technology industry veteran, led Cisco’s IoT Services Group, a global team that developed and delivered IoT solutions for verticals like utilities, smart cities, oil & gas, manufacturing, transportation, and healthcare. Greg built the IoT Services business by combining several of Cisco’s vertical professional services where he had held prior leadership roles. Carter started his career and gained his initial experiences in operational technology requirements as a US Naval Officer.
