Dave has over 40 years of experience regarding process automation system plant engineering, design, troubleshooting, training, and maintenance. Currently in the Technology Organization, the scope of his work includes the integration of all aspects basic process control, instrumented protection, safety instrumented systems, and operator interface software along with the IT/OT plant connectivity computing environment. Dave has been responsible for a variety of process plants ranging from small systems to one of a kind ultra-high availability systems. He has also served as the chairperson for the CCPS Guideline Book, “Guidelines for Safe and Reliable Instrumented Protective Systems”, and a contributing author of the CCPS Guideline book, “Guidelines for Safe Automation of Chemical Processes” -2nd Edition. Most recently, Dave was recognized by ISA for his significant contributions to the development of ISA-TR84.00.09, Cybersecurity related to the Functional Safety Lifecycle.
