Science and Technology Drives the New Manufacturing

Industry is moving into a new era of manufacturing enabled by emerging technologies and advanced science.  This allows companies to use new materials based on the science of simulation at the molecular and atomic levels.  Technologies like Additive Manufacturing are allowing industries such as aerospace and automotive to build parts and assemblies that were never possible with conventional fabrication processes.  Advanced simulation technology provides design engineers to validate the use of new materials and manufacturing processes early in the design of new products.  We are experiencing a renaissance of manufacturing that will take industries into an era of lighter, stronger, more functional products, and next generation manufacturing processes.  This session will examine the application of these technologies and science to current industries and the products they are producing for the 21st century.
