Sharul is based at the East Coast Refinery and Aromatics Plant in Kertih, Terengganu, Malaysia. He has more than 26 years of experience in handling instrumentation and control issues in oil, natural gas, gas liquefaction, and petrochemical plants including pipeline transmission. Sharul has been involved as an instrumentation expert in many key projects, including Kertih Compressor Station, Malaysia Peninsular Gas Utilization metering stations project, and MLNG Dua Debottlenecking Project. He has participated in various HSE Management Assurance Audits throughout PETRONAS sites focusing in key aspects of process safety compliance. He also participated in the development of the core competency program, accelerated capability development, and intensified coaching for Petronas instrument engineers and technicians.
