Mike’s organization is responsible for all the supervisory control systems and applications which include the development of many novel, advanced technology applications applied in both manufacturing and commercial business units. He also provides leadership and a coordinating role within the ArcelorMittal Group’s Process Automation community leveraging best practices and ideas globally. Mike has been involved with industrial process automation and control for 35 years in both the petrochemical and steel producing industries holding various technical and leadership roles. Mike has a long standing involvement in external automation-centric associations which include the Advanced Control Consortium at McMaster University (Hamilton, Canada) as well as the Association for Iron and Steel Technology’s Computer Application Operating Committee.
