After finishing his PhD in theoretical physics in 2010, Michael joined the Competence Center for Automation at BASF in Ludwigshafen. Since 2013, he is responsible for a team concerned with DCS systems and automation aspects such as alarm management and high-performance HMI. In addition, he is a leader of the BASF IoT Lab. Michael is head of the NAMUR working divisions 2.1 “DCS and PLC” and 4.20 “Remote Operation” and is also involved in NAMUR’s Industrie 4.0 activities.
