Luis is responsible for expanding ABB’s safety business globally as well as with defining product strategies and future enhancements related to safety and cybersecurity for ABB’s 800xA. He has 28 years of experience in process automation, in areas ranging from application development, project design, and project management of Basic Process Control Systems (BPCS) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) as well as front end design of process simulation and management execution software applied to production improvement in refining, petrochemical, and upstream processes. Previously he held multiple roles ranging from Product Marketing Manager and Business Development Manager for the Americas with ABB; Technical Product Manager, Product Marketing Manager, and Brand Director with Triconex (now part of Schneider); Application Engineer and Business Development Manager with Honeywell; and Account Manager with Aspen Technology.
