Iwan is responsible for the development, maintenance, and certification of the exSILentia® software. He supports exida’s end user services, manufacturer services, and certification activities and has over 20 years of professional experience in the Functional Safety field. He performs IEC 61508 development process evaluations and Functional Safety Assessments. In addition, he supports industry specific safety lifecycle tasks, including the process, machinery, nuclear, and automotive industries. These tasks range from process hazard analysis, layer of protection analysis, SIL selections, and SIL verifications, to proof test specification and operational event recording as well as ASIL assessments. Iwan is the Director of the ISA Safety and Cybersecurity Division and is an ISA Fellow. He teaches both exida and ISA courses.
