Dan’s primary focus is the maintenance of Stanford’s Central Energy Facility which includes three large water tanks for thermal energy storage, a high-voltage substation that receives electricity from the grid, and an innovative heat recovery system that takes advantage of Stanford’s overlap in heating and cooling needs.  He is also responsible for the process steam plant, the campus high-voltage distribution grid, and over 20 miles of hot and chilled water pipelines.  Dan has over 30 years’ experience in combined cycle power plant operations, maintenance, and engineering.
