Curt served for 34 years with BP in various roles worldwide.  The last 12 years in BP he was a Technology Director in their Chief Technology Office.  During his time at BP, Curt created and led several “Game Changer” programs under which BP business units annually leveraged new digital technologies to measurably improve service, reduce costs, or increase competitiveness.  He led numerous projects to leverage the capabilities of the emerging Unmanned Aerial Systems including pipeline patrol, 3D model creation, electrical line inspection, storage tank inspection, gas flare inspection, digital surface mapping, and oil spill monitoring.  As a result of a project in Alaska, Curt and his team were awarded FAA’s first commercial permission to fly UAS overland (drones) in June of 2014. Curt is currently working with Alaska Unmanned Systems consulting on UAVs and other leading edge technology projects.
