Charles has had a long career in the oil and gas industry starting in 1980 working as a field operator. From 1986 through 1991 he worked in various gas and liquid measurement roles first as a technician then later as a senior supervisor. In 1991 Charles began his career in SCADA. He has deployed or transformed numerous systems for Coastal Oil and Gas, El Paso Production, Encana, and now with Pioneer. He has experience in managing SCADA communications, hydrocarbon measurement, production accounting, HMI development and control room operations. In his current role at Pioneer he is responsible for replacing the existing asset specific SCADA systems with an enterprise SCADA system and the management and development of remote operations.
