Ashwani has a deep interest in scouting for disruptive solutions and technologies for the oil and gas industry and has been invited to speak about the topic at many national and international conferences. He has more than 15 years of geoscience, technology, and data science experience in oil and gas. In his current role, Ashwani manages the Halliburton Big Data Center of Excellence. He has worked on a wide variety of upstream oil and gas exploration areas related to geoscience, big data analytics, and IoT. He has been the editor of The Leading Edge, an international oil and gas newsletter and is the chair of the Society of Exploration Geophysicist regional action committee for North America and Canada. Ashwani is also a technical member of the joint committee of Offshore Technology Conference and Society of Exploration Geophysicists.
