Telit, a global enabler of the Internet of Things (IoT), announced an expansion of its partnership with Wind River to help accelerate industrial IoT (IIoT) adoption. Telit’s cloud-hosted IoT Platform, Telit deviceWISE, provides an out-of-the-box lifecycle management solution for Wind River’s operating systems. In conjunction with Wind River’s IoT Design Center, this collaboration helps to enable its customers to create a more complete, secure, robust and reliable edge-to-cloud IIoT solution.
As part of this expanded relationship, Wind River has provided Telit with Wind River-developed device-side agent technology. The C and Python agents, designed to be more developer friendly, have been validated with Wind River operating systems, including VxWorks and Wind River Linux operating environments, for those building edge solutions for deployment in, for example, real-time mission critical industrial, emergency first responders and related applications.
