Rockwell Automation announced that its CENTERLINE 2100 motor control centers (MCCs) now offer a device limited ArcShield solution for up to 600V and 3000A current ratings.

Rockwell Automation developed ArcShield technology for its CENTERLINE motor control centers (MCCs) to provide new Arc Flash Protectionlevels of arc flash protection as well as to help increase workforce safety and mitigate arc flash damage. Workforce fatalities are greatly preventable with arc flash containment solutions such as ArcShield technology. And with this announcement, this arc flash safety technology has been expanded for Canadian manufacturers with high-amp applications typical in the oil, gas, mining, water treatment and power generation industries.

The CENTERLINE 2100 motor control center with new 600V device limited 1600A to 3000A ArcShield technology meets UL 845/cUL, NMX-353-ANCE, and Type 2 accessibility requirements, defined by IEEE C37.20.7 industry safety standards. The motor control center is designed to contain an arcing fault for the time it takes the pre-tested main protective device to clear the fault.

Manufactured on four continents, CENTERLINE MCCs are designed to help meet customers’ critical power, safety, motor control and information needs in markets globally.
