Belden, a leading global supplier of network infrastructure and digitization solutions, announced updates to its PROVIZE Network Planning, Commissioning and Management software suite.  The PROVIZE suite is designed to overcome network management challenges such as availability of an integrated workflow for network planning and configuration, synchronization of planning and Network Planningconfiguration across multiple tools, automated comparison of planned vs. actual network configurations, and the legacy need to manage several tools across all network devices.

PROVIZE Planner is designed to simplify network planning via an easy-to-use, drag-and-drop interface, empowering users to design intent-based network configurations and automatically create bills of materials (BOMs) that identify recommended equipment. PROVIZE Planner includes built-in logic that verifies the validity of network configurations, ensuring the network can work as designed. PROVIZE Planner is available free of charge as a download from the Belden website.

PROVIZE Explorer is designed to enable easy device commissioning by assigning management IP addresses and credentials via an easy-to-use interface, integrating seamlessly with network planning and management applications.  The software detects devices that have not yet been commissioned and supports configuration of management IP addresses and credentials.

The latest updates are intended to simplify MRP configuration for redundant ring topologies to prevent network disruptions. In addition, enhanced integration lets users easily shift between PROVIZE Planner and Explorer. User interface enhancements are also available for both products.
