As industrial automation expands, powerful, ruggedized, and high-speed switches are a necessity. To meet this expanding need, Belden, a global supplier of network infrastructure and digitization solutions, announced its new LEMUR lite managed switch family.  This new device family provides essential managed switching features and Lite Managed Switchadvanced data rates in a cost-optimized compact design with full-gigabit functionality, up to 11 ports, PoE/PoE+ options, IP30 protection, and an extended temperature range of -40°C to +60°C.

The new switch family features simplified configuration and management using the HiEOS Hirschmann Entry Operating System graphical user interface.  The intuitive web interface features easy-to-use layer 2 switching capabilities, allowing users to configure and monitor the devices without any special IT know-how.  Developed in accordance with IEC 62443-4-1, LEMUR switches meet cybersecurity standards for industrial automation and control systems environments.
