Connected IoT-based Platform for Flavored Drink Dispenser by LTTS

Client’s Brief: The client wanted to develop a standard connected IoT-based platform to monitor and control flavored drink dispenser systems.  They were scouting for a platform to enable better transparency on various operations and functionality of the dispense system unit.  LTTS (L&T Technology Services) was selected to overhaul the dispense system unit, that included the redesigning of hardware, software, and motor control firmware. 

Solution: To ensure that flavored soda drink dispensers were up and running all the time, LTTS developed an IoT-based cloud platform to monitor and control dispenser systems for the client.  The platform consisted of 10.1” graphical touch screen LCD connected with custom hardware board and an Android-M OS; and peripherals like USB, I2C, SPI, EEPROM, RTC, Ethernet, HDMI, and UART.   The software features include:

• Flavor replacement features
• Application upgrades
• Tracking and monitoring
• Access control and diagnostic mode
• Web and mobile dashboards for equipment health, asset model management, data visualization, and analytics
