Bentley Systems will hold the Year in Infrastructure 2017 conference in Singapore from October 10-12, the first time the infrastructure software solutions provider is holding its annual event for the global infrastructure design, construction, and operations community in Asia. The Be Inspired Awards program, considered the highlight of the event, will this year celebrate Building Information Modeling nominees in 17 BIM Advancement categories, and companies and organizations are invited to nominate a deserving project.

The Year in Infrastructure 2017 conference, which features a series of presentations and interactive workshops exploring the future of infrastructure delivery and asset performance, will include a new Alliance Partner Pavilion, featuring live application and technology presentations from Microsoft, Siemens, Topcon, and Bureau Veritas. Attendees can learn about solutions such as reality modeling to converge engineering and inspection, connecting workflows for constructioneering, and enabling the digital enterprise by supporting open access to the IoT.

Notably, the conference takes place at Marina Bay Sands, one of the most iconic buildings in Asia. Its structural design was done by Arup using Bentley Systems Software. Arup was subsequently recognized as the Be Inspired Award winner for Innovation in Structural Engineering in 2010. More recently, the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) used Bentley software to create and maintain a high-resolution 3D model of the entire country as part of the Smart Nation initiative. Singapore recently topped Mercer’s 2017 Best City Infrastructure rankings out of more than 200 global cities.
