AVEVA has launched AVEVA PI Data Infrastructure, an integrated hybrid data solution that helps to extend data capabilities from edge to plant to community by providing enhanced scalability, centralized management, and the ability to share data collaboratively via the cloud.

AVEVA PI Data Infrastructure is the latest offering in the AVEVA PI System portfolio, which helps companies to collect, enrich, Data Capabilities from Edge to Plantanalyze, and visualize operations data to achieve deeper insight and operational excellence. Moving to a hybrid infrastructure can help to provide industrial companies with the enhanced flexibility, scalability and security needed to deliver high-fidelity data to authorized users and applications in any location. The initial release also provides customers with the option to use the OpenID Connect protocol for user authentication, enabling enterprise-wide single sign on. Other enterprise-class data management features will be delivered over several releases.

AVEVA PI Data Infrastructure helps to make it easier for companies to collect and use real-time operations data in industrial environments that increasingly include sensor-enabled legacy systems, remote assets and IIoT devices. The hybrid architecture provides data access to more personnel who rely on operations data to make decisions, resolve problems, and develop business insights, thereby helping to reduce the total cost and effort of operations data management. Achieving more seamless data sharing with trusted collaborators can help companies to overcome costly data silos, modernize and streamline user access, and aggregate real-time and historical data for wider use and consumption. AVEVA PI Data Infrastructure is available via subscription using AVEVA Flex credits.
