ARC’s European Industry Forum is part of our successful series of worldwide conferences in Europe, America and Asia. The next European Forum will be held in Sitges (Barcelona), Spain on May 15 - 17, 2023 and focus on “Managing Industry Evolution in Times of Global Disruption”. Participants are invited to attend exclusive presentations and workshops on strategies and case studies from the digital front lines.

ARC industry analysts and other experts from the end user and supplier communities will analyze and discuss trends and drivers for hot industry topics, such as:

Additive Manufacturing

The inherent flexibility of Additive Manufacturing (AM) has recently driven the acceptance of AM as a production method. It can help to alleviate the challenges caused by the disruptions the global supply chains are experiencing. AM’s increasing versatility in terms of e.g. materials and structures has also led to a strongly rising interest in the technology with industrial and end users, making additive manufacturing one of the fastest growing engineering segment. Furthermore, AM generates very little waste compared to subtractive manufacturing, such as CNC machining, providing companies with a more environmentally friendly production method.

The low-waste aspect in particular enables companies not only to comply with current and upcoming national and global environmental regulations but also to work towards a higher sustainability and lower environmental footprint for their business. Nevertheless, there are still many "teething problems" to be addressed. These include the need for global standards, automation efforts along the AM production process, and appropriately trained personnel. We will address these and other relevant topics in our Additive Manufacturing Track at ARC’s EIF 2023.
