On May 21-22, 2019, ARC Advisory Group will host its European Industry Forum (EIF) in the Meliã Hotel Sitges in Spain.  The European Industry Forum is part of ARC’s successful series of worldwide conferences in the USA, India, China, and Japan.  

Christian Mosch, Project Manager Industrie 4.0 Standardization, VDMA, will inform us of the “Status of OPC UA Companion Specifications”.

Status of OPC UA Companion Specifications

The audience will receive a short introduction of VDMA and find out about the role VDMA has in OPC UA Companion Specifications.  Christian Mosch will present a short and easy to understand example of a companion specification.  Furthermore, he will explain how international the work of VDMA is regarding companion specifications, e.g. which co-operations are in place with associations in USA, China, Japan.  We will gain insight into the roadmap for the different machine building segments and the collaborations with machine builder's associations, e.g. Euromap.  VDMA is also involved in companion specifications for devices on the sensor / actor level.
