The ARC Industry Forum is virtual this year, which means you can access the same high-quality content and sessions from anywhere in the world. We didn’t hold back on content this year in our cybersecurity track either. After a full day of cybersecurity workshops on Monday and the IT-OT Technology workshop on Tuesday, we will be featuring two full-length sessions on Wednesday, Feb. 10 that highlight some significant end-user case studies in the world of cybersecurity and critical infrastructure that address many of the challenges end-users are facing today, from unifying IT and OT cybersecurity organizations to dealing with the security challenges of new Industrial IoT technologies, such as cloud computing, virtualization, AI, and machine learning. Building Successful Teams: From Global Chemical and Materials Companies to Regional Utilities
Our first case study session starts Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 12 PM EST. Our presenters include industry leaders and decision-makers from the chemicals, materials, and utility industries. The common theme among all of our presenters is the creation of successful cybersecurity teams and approaches that combine elements of both IT and OT to create a holistic organization that understands the interrelationships between both worlds and how they affect cybersecurity.
Presentations will be followed by a panel discussion where end users and their suppliers respond to questions/comments by the attendees. Attendees of this session will gain insight into what organizations are/are not doing and how their own efforts compare with industry peers. This information will be of benefit to owner-operators, suppliers, and researchers involved with industry, infrastructure, or smart cities cybersecurity.

Frances O’Connor is Leader of Global Security Architecture and Engineering for Owens Corning. Frances leads a team focused on securing Owens Corning global enterprise and operational technology landscape. Most recently, with the convergence of IT/OT, Frances led the manufacturing security journey focused on balancing the security of legacy architecture while securing the digital transformation initiatives in the manufacturing environment.
Kevin Davis is Chief Technology Officer at Middlesex County Utilities Authority (MCUA) in Sayreville, New Jersey. His primary responsibilities are to ensure the reliable and secure operation of MCUA’s Control Systems, SCADA, and IT infrastructure. With 20 years of experience in water, wastewater and manufacturing, Kevin has successfully implemented MCUA’s digital transformation plan by integrating information technology principles with operational technology systems.
Michael Norris is Director of Business System Security and Cybersecurity at LyondellBasell. Michael has over 30 years of experience in various roles within the process industries including production, process & control engineering, and management in both refining and petrochemicals. He is currently leading the effort within LyondellBasell in the creation of an organization focused on closing the cyber security gaps in the manufacturing sites globally.

Vincent Turmel is Vice President of Field Operations for Bayshore Networks. Vincent has over 20 years’ experience in process automation and cybersecurity. He helps Fortune 500 corporations around the globe secure their industrial networks and the critical links between their operations and the enterprise. He was previously with Siemens Industry where he held roles in application engineering, product management and consulting in industrial automation and ICS security. He has led ICS security assessments ranging from the unit of a plant to global programs involving many sites.
