Blockchain Enables Trusted Track & Trace of Products

In his presentation, Alastair Orchard will give us an introduction on Blockchain and distributed ledgers.  While best-known for its application in crypto currency transactions, Blockchain is suitable for many other applications, also in an industrial environment, especially for the track and trace of products.

As an example, we will be introduced to the advantages of Blockchain in establishing trust in the food & beverage industry, an area Siemens has been very active in recently.  Furthermore, we will see a demonstration of a distributed track and trace application using Blockchain.
