ARC Advisory Group to Attend Smart Cities Connect in Kansas City

ARC continues to expand our coverage of the smart cities and infrastructure segment. At the recent ARC Industry Forum in Orlando, we examined the important role of cybersecurity in smart cities, as well as the requirements for more open and contextual data sharing in today’s smart cities. Smart cities are almost always a combination of new systems and technology combined with older legacy systems. Uniting these silos of data to provide useful and contextual information is key to the future success of smart cities, and it will be interesting to see the new approaches from the suppliers and end users of this technology.

As part of our expanding market coverage of infrastructure & smart cities, ARC Advisory Group will be attending the Smart Cities Connect conference in Kansas City, MO from March 26-29 at the Kansas City Convention Center. One of the measures of a good conference is balancing panel sessions and presentation tracks with a broad-based industry trade show floor featuring a wide range of suppliers & service providers. There are many good presentations from mayors to city managers to COOs and other end users of smart city technology, too many to mention here. You can see the full speaker list here. Some of the key session topics include:

  • How to Design a Smart City – IoT Technology Based
  • How to Build a Modern Economic Development Engine Using the Smart City Platform
  • Smart and Connected Energy-Aware Residential Communities
  • Smarter Lighting - Safety, Energy Reduction, ICT and Sensor Network Backbones and Health

Smart Cities Connect is an excellent event for all audiences to attend and learn more about: suppliers, integrators, consultants, and city-wide end-users. With a robust conference venue and presentation schedule, featuring a wide range of major industry suppliers, from smart city platform providers to smart lighting, operations & connectivity, data analytics, integrators & service companies, and cybersecurity firms. A complete list of exhibitors can be found here.

ARC Advisory Group shall be promoting the latest edition of our smart lighting systems report as well as the many other smart city related studies and services, in addition to connecting with key clients.
